About Sterling Flight Training
Sterling Flight Training by MaloneAir, Inc. is a family owned and operated, FAA, part 141, flight school at Craig Municipal Airport (KCRG) that specializes in providing the highest quality flight training available. For international students, we offer a great location in sunny Jacksonville, Florida with great flying weather year round. If your goal is to become a professional pilot, we have accelerated courses in single and multi-engine aircraft. We fly the best of Cessna, Piper, and Tecnam aircraft. Sterling also incorporates the Redbird FMX full motion flight simulator into our program for both single and multi-engine training. Sterling provides many services also, including: rides, tours, photography, videography, and many other contract services.
The Malone family started Sterling in May 2000 and has since grown into the premier flight school in Florida. In addition to Sterling, Malone AirCharter is a part 135, air carrier, operating a fleet of jets including the Sovereign, Excel, Beechjet 400, and CJ1 along with a King Air 200. Many of our charter pilots are former students and current instructors.
Meet Our Administrative Team
Irene Malone is a founding co-owner of Sterling Flight Training and our sister company, Malone AirCharter. She is a graduate of Bethel University and a former Medical Disability Examiner. Irene manages accounting, payroll and tax issues. She is also our human resource person, as well as the company organizational problem solver. Irene interfaces daily with our flight crews, mechanics and operations staff.
Cristine Kirk is a graduate of the University of North Florida. She brings her experience in office administration as well as accounting to the Malone Air family. Cristine is an excellent problem solver as well as a motivated proactive employee. Her role in the administrative staff concentrates on A/R, A/P, Payroll, Financial Statements, as well as supporting Irene in human resources.
Erik is a graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Meteorology. He has previous experience in flight school operations as a General Manager. Erik oversees the daily operations and also is an FAA AKT Proctor. As a rated pilot, he is very familiar with all training programs and is the main contact for our Airline program called Airline Training Solutions.
